Silent guardian, ancient witness.
Je suis ton ombre dans la nuit.
I pull your tides, shaping your shores.
I see your oceans dance beneath me.
Je vois tes océans danser sous moi.
Je tisse des reflets à la surface des lacs
Mountains rise and fall under my gaze.
J'entends les murmures de tes vents.
The songs of your creatures reach me.
Flames and stillness, I see it all.
Your deserts are my silent companions.
Je regarde les civilisations fleurir et s’éteindre.
Laughter and tears echo across time.
I know the secrets in your stones.
Ta beauté est gravée dans ma mémoire. 
I cradle life, though I am distant.
Your stories are written in your trees.
The layers of your stones tell tales.
Your warmth, forever out of reach.
Je suis ton miroir, reflétant la lumière. 
I yearn to be closer, yet remain apart.
Les secrets du temps sont en moi. 
Dans le silence, je te parle. 
Endless dance, I orbit your soul.

Your essence is written in your rivers.
The rhythm of your tides is my song.

From September 20 - 28, 2024, Winnipeggers stepped into the enchanting world of moonGARDEN at Old Market Square, where they experienced Spectra, an illuminating artwork that brought the cosmos to life!

​This mesmerizing piece weaves together silhouettes of humans, animals, celestial bodies, and natural elements through a dazzling kaleidoscope of light and colour. Inspired by myths and folk tales, Spectra celebrates themes of unity and transformation with a magical dance of light and shadow.Winnipeg artist Anna Binta Diallo invited us to consider the stories that shape our connection to the universe, reflecting on how different cultures interpret cosmic events like eclipses and moon phases.Wandering through moonGARDEN's giant spheres, visitors were surrounded by evocative shadow projections and a poetic soundscape, creating an immersive experience. Families and friends enjoyed nights of wonder and exploration, rediscovering their place in the vast, beautiful universe.
